Today’s Fascinating Fact from Harmonic

Defense startup Castelion was founded by three former SpaceX executives — Bryon Hargis, Sean PItt, and Andrew Kreitz — back in November 2022. Today, their flagship product is Blackbeard, a solid-rocket-boosted hypersonic glide vehicle that’s designed to exceed 3,800 mph (or Mach 5), with a range of up to 500 miles. But even more remarkable than the speed is the cost model. Castelion aims to make Blackbeard and other hypersonics affordable enough to mass produce in the thousands.
